Reward Point Benefits on your Axis Bank Vistara Credit Card

Axis Bank Vistara Credit Card has its own unique and fast rewarding frequent-flyer system, the Club Vistara reward points, or CV reward points. Club Vistara (CV) points are reward points earned by members in their Club Vistara account for flying on any Vistara flight and/or with Club Vistara partners for use of their services. CV Points are earned based on fare value of your ticket (base fare excluding taxes and fees). So, higher the value of your ticket, the more CV points you earn. CV Points are valid for 36 months from the date of flight and can be redeemed towards flights and upgrades on the Vistara network and flights with Partner Airlines. The more reward points you gain, the greater your chances become to redeem the reward points for your spends.

Some of the benefits of CV reward points are:

  • Faster Earning of Points: You earn CV reward points based on the value of your flight tickets which makes for faster earnings.
  • Easy Redemptions: You can redeem your CV reward points for Award Flights or Upgrade Awards. You can take your pick from a host of domestic and international destinations in Vistara Airlines. To view the CV points required for Award Flights for travel, click here.

As the tiers move up from Base to Platinum, customers get higher reward point earnings and access to exclusive privileges and benefits like Priority Services and Lounge Access. Here are the number of CV reward points you earn at each tier:

CV Platinum

Apart from flying, users can also earn CV reward points through Club Vistara’s non-airline and airline partners and by participating in Club Vistara’s ongoing offers and promotions.

Note: When you fly with Vistara, make sure that you enter your CV ID at the time of booking or check-in as this will allow your CV reward points to be credited automatically to your CV account within 2 days. Your CV reward points will be valid for 3 years (36 months) from the date of your journey.

Tier Points

Club Vistara members also earn Tier Points each time they fly with Vistara Airlines. The value of these points is same as CV points. Tier points are calculated on the basis of fare value and the CV tier you are a part of. While CV points are redeemable, Tier points are non-redeemable and are only used for the purpose of tier evaluation.

Tier points help you determine your tier status and help you move to the Elite tiers. These tiers offer users higher reward points and access to extra privileges and benefits. So, higher the tier, higher the benefits.

You can either call the branch officials or the customer care executives to know the reasons or you can write an e-mail to the customer care executives. If you can remove the discrepancy in your credit card application, do so and apply again to get an approval.

Axis Bank Vistara Credit Card Credit Limit

The credit limit will be determined byAxis Bank depending on the income, credit score, job or business stability along with other factors. So, to get a higher credit score limit, it’s important to have a decent income and have a good credit score well past 750. It is also important to have a stability in either your job or business. Add-on card members will have the same limit as the primary cardholder.

The credit limit and cash withdrawal limit will be communicated to the cardholder at the time of card delivery and in the monthly statements. The available credit limit at the time of the statement generation is provided as part of the monthly statement.

Existing cardholders can get good credit limit by asking Axis Bank to raise the credit limit by writing to the bank and providing financial documents declaring their income. After receiving the request of limit enhancement, Axis Bank will check the repayment pattern, employment, business details and the new income document provided before coming to a decision of whether it will raise the credit limit or not.

A good credit limit or a higher credit limit does not mean that you should spend an excessive amount which will be more than your ability to pay back on time. Over-spending and failure to make a payment by the due date can create a default-like situation in which the creditors might raise interest rates to the default (or penalty rate) or decrease the line of credit. In case of serious defaulting on a credit card, the bank can even take legal action to enforce payment.

This is not a situation anybody would want to be in as default is a serious credit card issue that affects not only your standing with the credit card issuer but also your credit standing in general and your ability to get approved for other credit-based services. The reasons are obvious, the credit score would come down, which could make it tricky to gain an easy approval to the credits you may apply in the future.

In addition, you would struggle to meet other financial liabilities that you may have to carry out on a monthly basis.

At the same time, don’t be too less on the utilization as that would make it hard to build a credit history for you and would interfere with your good credit score. So, you need to strike a balance between the annual spends to ensure a proper credit utilization ratio, translating into a good credit history and a non-default situation.

Axis Bank Vistara Credit Card Statement and Bill Payment

Axis Bank will send you a monthly statement if there is any transaction or outstanding of more than Rs 100. The statement will be sent to your mailing address/e-mail address provided by you while applying for the card. You would still be liable to pay your outstanding even in case of non-receipt of a statement.

Axis bank will debit the card account for all the debits received and credit the card account for all payments made by you to the bank.

The bank may offer you a revolving credit facility where you can choose to pay only the Minimum Amount Due (MAD) as written on the statement. The Total Amount Due (TAD) or MAD should be paid on or before the due date which is also written on the statement.

Non-payment of the Minimum Amount Due will render you liable to the risk of withdrawal or suspension (temporarily or permanently) of your Axis bank credit card.
