In the event that you are not satisfied with ICICI bank’s services, you may register your grievance by:
In all your communications with ICICI bank, please indicate your complete credit card number.
ICICI Bank Credit Card Postal Address: ICICI Bank Limited, ICICI Phone Banking Center, ICICI Bank Tower, 7th floor, Survey no: 115/27, Plot no. 12, Nanakramguda, Serilingampally, Hyderabad – 500032, India.
Get the real-time status of your ICICI Bank credit card by simply visiting the official ICICI Bank website. You just need to put your credit card application reference number, date of birth, etc. and follow a few simple steps and you are done with the credit card application status. You would get to know the status, whether the application is approved, pending for approval or rejected. You can even call the customer care or the ICICI bank branch officials to check the status.
Now, the credit card application status can be anything from approval, pending for approval or even rejected. Do ask the reasons for your credit card application rejection if it has happened.
You can either call the branch officials or the customer care executives to know the reasons or you can write an e-mail to the customer care executives. If you can remove the discrepancy in your credit card application, do so and apply again to get an approval.
The credit limit will be determined by ICICI Bank depending on the income, credit score, job or business stability along with other factors. So, to get a higher credit score limit, it’s important to have a decent income and have a good credit score well past 750. It is also important to have stability in either your job or business. Add-on cardmembers will have the same limit as the primary cardholder. A greater income reinforces confidence about your repayment capability and when supported with a good score, the card with a higher limit remains more of a formality.
The credit limit and cash withdrawal limit will be communicated to the cardholder at the time of card delivery and in the monthly statements. The available credit limit at the time of the statement generation is provided as part of the monthly statement.
Existing cardholders can get a good credit limit by asking ICICI Bank to raise the credit limit by writing to the bank and providing financial documents declaring their income. After receiving the request of limit enhancement, ICICI Bank will check the repayment pattern, employment, business details and the new income document provided before coming to a decision of whether it will raise the credit limit or not.
A good credit limit or a higher credit limit does not mean that you should spend an excessive amount which will be more than your ability to pay back on time. Over-spending and failure to make a payment by the due date can create a default-like situation in which the creditors might raise interest rates to the default (or penalty rate) or decrease the line of credit. In case of serious defaulting on a credit card, the bank can even take legal action to enforce payment.
This is not a situation anybody would want to be in as a default is a serious credit card issue that affects not only your standing with the credit card issuer but also your credit standing in general and your ability to get approved for other credit-based services. The reasons are obvious, the credit score would come down, which could make it tricky to gain easy approval to the credits you may apply in the future.
In addition, you would struggle to meet other financial liabilities that you may have to carry out on a monthly basis.
At the same time, don’t be too little on the utilization as that would make it hard to build a credit history for you and would interfere with your good credit score. So, you need to strike a balance between the annual spending to ensure a proper credit utilization ratio, translating into the good credit history and a non-default situation.
ICICI Bank will bill you on a monthly basis for all charges incurred by the use of your credit card and for all charges applicable to your card account. However, there may be no statement generated for the period in which there has been no outstanding due and no transaction on the account in the past month. The billing statement will be dispatched to you at your mailing address or by e-mail.
You may choose to pay only the Minimum Amount Due (MAD) indicated in the statement by the due date. The Minimum Amount Due shall be 5% of the outstanding amount or such other amount as may be determined by ICICI Bank at its sole discretion. In case of any repayment through installments, the installment amount due during the statement period will be added to the Minimum Amount Due. If the total outstanding is more than the credit or cash limit, then the amount by which the credit or cash limit has been exceeded will also be included in the Minimum Amount Due. Minimum Amount Due shall also include unpaid Minimum Amount Due to the previous statements if any.
Interest will be charged if the Total Amount Due is not paid by the payment due date even if the Minimum Amount Due has been paid. If you spend Rs 5,000 and pay back exactly the Minimum Amount Due (subject to a minimum payment of Rs 100) every month, it will take you up to 6 years and 6 months to pay back the total amount. So, it is suggested that whenever your cash flows allow, pay back an amount substantially more than your Minimum Amount Due.
No merchant refund/cashback/credit due to transactions converted to EMI / canceled transactions/reversals / promotional cashback will be considered as a payment towards the outstanding of the card. In case you make an excess payment compared to the outstanding of the card, there will be credit balance in the card account. This will be adjusted against the subsequent transactions on the card. However, no interest can be claimed on this excess credit amount.
Bill payment towards the card account may be made in any of the following ways:
